Johnny Cash, the "Man In Black", is one of the most influential musical figures of the last 50 years. His deep, resonant voice and sparse guitar style have given him an instantly recognisable sound that manages to sit somewhere between folk, rock and country. He has been awarded ten Grammy Awards and was the youngest ever inductee into the Country Hall of Fame. His music is as relevant today as it has ever been. The concert on this DVD was recorded at the Tennessee State Penitentiary in Nashville in 1976. It is one of only two of his prison concerts that were filmed for broadcast. It features Cash with special guests Linda Ronstadt and Roy Clark performing a selection of their biggest hits such as Folsom Prison Blues, Orange Blossom Special, A Boy Named Sue and Ronstadt’s version of the Eagles’ Desperado.

It's the last night of summer 1962, and the teenagers of Modesto, California, want to have some fun before adult responsibilities close in. Among them are Steve (Ron Howard) and Curt (Richard Dreyfuss), college-bound with mixed feelings about leaving home; nerdy Terry "The Toad" (Charles Martin Smith), who scores a dream date with blonde Debbie (Candy Clark); and John (Paul Le Mat ), a 22-year-old drag racer who wonders how much longer he can stay champion and how he got stuck with 13-year-old Carol (Mackenzie Phillips) in his deuce coupe. As D. J. Wolfman Jack spins 41 vintage tunes on the radio throughout the night, Steve ponders a future with girlfriend Laurie (Cindy Williams), Curt chases a mystery blonde, Terry tries to act cool, and Paul prepares for a race against Bob Falfa (Harrison Ford), but nothing can stop the next day from coming, and with it the vastly different future ushered in by the 1960s.
Fresh off The Godfather (1972), producer Francis Ford Coppola had the clout to get his friend George Lucas's project made, but only for $750,000 on a 28-day shooting schedule. Despite technical obstacles, and having to shoot at night, cinematographer Haskell Wexler gave the film the neon-lit aura that Lucas wanted, evoking the authentic look of a suburban strip to go with the authentic sound of rock-n-roll. Universal, which wanted to call the film Another Slow Night in Modesto, thought it was unreleasable. But Lucas' period detail, co-writers Willard Huyck's and Gloria Katz's realistic dialogue, and the film's nostalgia for the pre-Vietnam years apparently appealed to a 1973 audience embroiled in cultural chaos: American Graffiti became the third most popular movie of 1973 (after The Exorcist and The Sting), establishing the reputations of Lucas (whose next film would be Star Wars) and his young cast, and furthering the onset of soundtrack-driven, youth-oriented movies. Although the film helped spark 1970s nostalgia for the 1950s, nothing else would capture the flavor of the era with the same humorous candor and latent sense of foreboding.

About Mini-LP CDs:
Japan mini-LP CDs are official audiophile releases manufactured in Japan under license. CDs made in Japan are superior in nearly every way to those from other countries.. The superb mastering (often 20 Bit, 24 Bit, K2, DSD, K2HD, or HDCD) and resultant sound quality is excellent. The Japanese packaging of classic albums in cardboard sleeve miniature is very fine. These mini-LPs endeavor to be precise miniaturizations of the first pressings of the 12" LPs. Usually everything that was present in the original LP is included, such as gatefolds, booklets, lyric sheets, posters, printed CD sleeves, stickers, embosses, special paper or inks, and die cuts. In nearly all mini-LP releases a detail sheet is included, and although the text may be in Japanese, the insert will often include the lyrics in English, which is a big plus if the original LP did not include a lyric sheet. Japan promotional strips, also called “obi,” or stickers are usually included with the package as a way of advertising the CD to the Japanese buying public and includes considerable information, such as release date, catalog number, and mastering. Limited edition extra promotional obis are sometimes added by the distributor. On occasion a mini-LP CD will have bonus tracks included that were not part of the original release. However, the notes about the bonus tracks are never added to the album artwork, only to the promotional strip or the detail sheet, thus maintaining the integrity of the original LP artwork.
We are making every possible effort to buy and sell only Sealed CDs in mint condition,thus having no scratches on the disc or rubbing on the outer sleeve cover.They only come in clear plastic sleeves and not shrinking packs.Even in the cases that the CD has just been opened and not used they are classified in the category of used CDs, which is always clearly indicated in the description of the item.

“Dr. Ebbetts specializes in releasing digital remasterings from long-deleted and hard-to-obtain vinyl records, particularly issues from the audiophile Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL) label. Although the Ebbetts catalogue has many artists, it is most known for Beatles CDs transferred from the best quality MFSL releases, US releases and mono vinyl sources. While lables like Millenium, BEAT, Mirror Spock and Fabulous Sound Labs (FSL) also issue 'needle drops' of Beatles vinyl, Dr. Ebbetts is regarded by many audiophiles as being the highest quality. For those interested in the technical, one source close to the Dr says that Ebbetts says that he uses no noise reduction and that there's no magic formula...just a good ear and patience.”

Tom Waits was born at Park Avenue hospital in Pomona, California to Jesse Frank Waits and Alma Johnson McMurray, both schoolteachers. His father was of Scots-Irish descent and his mother from Norwegian stock. After Waits' parents divorced in 1960, he lived with his mother in Whittier, California, and then moved to National City, in San Diego County, near the Mexican border. Waits, who taught himself how to play the piano on a neighbor's instrument, often took trips to Mexico with his father, who taught Spanish; he would later claim that he found his love of music during these trips through a Mexican ballad that was "probably a Ranchera, you know, on the car radio with my dad. Fidelio, op. 72, est l’unique opéra de Ludwig van Beethoven, composé en 1804 et 1805 sous le titre Leonore,
puis remanié en 1806 et en une version définitive en 1814.
Ses principaux thèmes sont la dénonciation de l’arbitraire, incarné par le gouverneur d’une prison espagnole,
l’appel à la liberté, et l’amour notamment conjugal qui pousse Leonore, déguisée en homme, à risquer sa vie pour
libérer son époux Florestan.
